Historical Backdrop

The Centre for the Study of Administration of Relief (CSAR) is a reputed civil society organization set-up under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. CSAR was founded in November, 1986 by a set of legal luminaries, learned scholars and sterling administrators. Justice S. Rangarajan, who has served as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court and Chairman of the Monopolies Commission, was the founder Chairman of CSAR. The Centre celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2011.
